Lots of interest in buying from the video reviews but no reviews after .

Cheap and reversable apparently .
The website is up today after months of being down and is so, so .

The diesel performance one costs more than a remap , which would include gearbox adaptions , so why bother

So what I have found is a lot of tuning firms selling this now! I know of a Birmingham based gentleman who used to sell these and has been kicked out of a bunch of forums after being found they are false. Also kicked form the likes of Vmax I believe and this same person has changed his name a few times.

Its a massive issue in the tuning world I have had a Golf R and Audi S3 come in saying "Has this box done anything to my gearbox" I have read the actually DSG TCU and found 0 changes made. Same with ZF8 gearbox found in BMW's so called TCU flash and when I read the TCU 0 changes made.

Best case is that it resets gearbox adaptations which I have seen a couple do. Worst case I have seen some which are CAN bus blockers and stop full TCU to ECU communication so the transmissions says to the engine "Do whatever the hell you want!!!" and that system I know of a customer of mine who didn't want to wait for me to tune his RS6 and R8 V10+ and both had issues went to main dealer they black flagged his whole engine and drive train due to it.

If you do a google search of something alone the lines of "Gearbox TCU OBD flasher" or something you will find many threads of information which contradict each other also in the Images tab you will see different types all packaged slightly differently all claiming "made in house by us" blah blah blah.

I'm glad you reminded me about this as I have sent a bunch of emails off to tool manufactures to see if they know exactly what they are as all these firms never quite tell you what it is.

You are correct indeed however this box isn't even for the ECU! Its a so called TCU tune which in the past have found it really does nothing!

Actually after thinking back I had a customer by one for McLaren 12C and complained he didn't feel anything I opened it and it just had an LED light in it.

To be fair I have seen many Reputable UK companies selling the older TCU tuning boxes which all turned out to be a fake! This box looks identical

Buddy , what's your reason for pushing into explanations of these boxes , you can't seriously be considering them after what has already been discussed on this short thread ?
If an established rolling road remap is the same cost , why even continue thinking about it ?

Yes sorry I did see you posted it well I cant comment on someone account of it but there seems to be a lot of it "feels like this" and "feels like that" etc....

Which is the same sensation after you do some kind of gearbox adaptation relearn.

Like I mentioned in the past when customers with DSG boxes have come to me and asked has it actually made any changes and I then connect directly to the box there are zero changes to the strategies.

I'm pretty sure I read a thread a while back and MRC the Audi tuners found exactly the same thing.

But if you want to go ahead with it please do would like to know the outcome.

To just think about it logically lets say it some how interfaces with the TCU and it adjusts the strategies that I would on say DSG, S-Tronic, PDK or ZF8 boxes like shift strategies, clutch lockup etc.... Then why would a box with no user interface simply bleep after 3 minutes and raise gearbox torque limiters and change all the shift spec and a customer be happy that its safe especially when other boxes that look very similar have been outed as being fake.

Its something I personally wouldn't touch

So now I am not sure which direction you are taking this thread? Please by all means get a box for your vehicle and let us know the outcome. Also any quantifiable way of testing and showing the results.
