So very true. If mine really knew how much I spent on mine this year then....

I have spent nothing for some time, I just look forward to the spring now.

Best approach I found , if asked was to say look how much I saved, car cost me £16000 spent £2,000 on repairs and £2,000 on getting the maintenance up to scratch and 2 new tyres. Total cost £20,000 and remember you have maintenance anyway.
Bit new this car cost £96,800 so I saved £76,000!
....
Covers a few unexpected bills lol :)

And also isnt too un true as I used to by SL500s circa £80,000 and sell them for £30,000 4 years old. So losing £50K ( but could write off 95% , effectively, 40% nett against tax )

Lovin' the maths and the logic! Can't see the flaw in it at all.

Where's your SL? The suspense is killing me! :D

Patience, dear friend, patience.

But you're right - it's killing me too!!!

I've gone back to trying to learn guitar while I wait.

Will hopefully have something to report soon....

Very nice! The cream interior and the blue seem to go well together.

How was the drive back from picking it up??

Twenty minutes of motorway, engine bubbling sweetly away, followed by thirty minutes of country roads, with the ABC holding the SL steady through all the twists and turns. Then had a few minutes with the roof down before the drizzle started and the light faded away. To quote "Fab-u-lous".
Now time to read through the MOT reports and service invoices.

My W203 is also Tanzanite blue & cream. A loverly combo. I'm just a bit jealous. (OK, a lot)

That looks lovely! I love light coloured interiors, especially on SL's, with a bit of wood trim. I'm currently looking at R230's as I think they will be a future classic.

M6 Cab - prior to that, SL63 AMG, A-M V8 Vantage, SL55, SL500 and many more
with the roll bar up per the pic, it obscures the lights for the reversing sensors. It also stops the windbreak doing its job as the air gets down behind it. I leave the windbreak in place (up) all year round - easy to see through it single thickness (but not so when doubled up)
