with the roll bar up per the pic, it obscures the lights for the reversing sensors. It also stops the windbreak doing its job as the air gets down behind it. I leave the windbreak in place (up) all year round - easy to see through it single thickness (but not so when doubled up)

After two years of driving round with both flat down, I have changed this year to just having windbreak up- leaving up all time as above, it does not work same with both up which was how I first tried it and discounted it. :)

You only need the rollback up right before you roll over ...when it auto deploys

And finally sorted!

Got one:

SL500 from 2005 in Obsidian black with black interior.
With the 7g box; keyless go; pano roof; parktronic and Bose sound. Also has Linguatronic.

Initial review, pics and thoughts shortly....

Thanks to everyone that contributed and helped me understand the SL range; what to look for; options etc. etc. This forum has been great and really helpful.

Hope I can help others as time goes forward.

Special thanks to Television; JohnLaidlaw; Flowrider99 & SL55 Mark.

Cheers for now.

Great stuff, very happy for you, and you will have loads days like I did today, driving with a stupid grin on my face !
There'll be the odd frustration too, but oh that feeling when you solve it and get that beast back out on the road ...

Thanks all.

Probably driven 150 miles in it today and had the roof off for a few trips.

Any yes, as John says, complete with stupid grin!!

Now if I can work out where the Aux connections are then that is the first issue solved!

Hoping to write up a quick review over the weekend with some pics.

Happy Friday all.
