I have a 2007 W221 S class and I cannot alter the date which is causing the time to be wrong because of the time zone and daylight saving options.

If I change time zones the time automatically changes on the COMAND screen but it does not update the analogue clock on the center console.

I can change the date with the controller on the COMAND screen but it always reverts back to March 2018. The date does automatically increment each day but it is always 7 months behind the real date??

I assume the time is pulled from the GPS signal but where are the dates stored? Are these in the car or should they also come from the GPS signal.

    Thanks

    Steve

I sound strange, wipe the comand and start again, making sure in vehicle settings you select language and country correctly …. time is automatic

I don't think is off GPS.... but if it is, does the Nav work correctly? if that seems to work is the radio OK?
if nothing else you could try a map update maybe the world moved

Radio and Sat Nav work fine - just installed the 2018/19 maps from a DVD.
At least the time is now correct as the clocks have gone back but the car still thinks its March!

hi I'm Steve as well and have exactly the same problem. Mines a 2009, not a problem last year, looking for some bright spark with an answer.

That’s weird!!!!! I’m sure I saw posts by Malcolm from 2009 earlier in it... must’ve been another thread. How odd!

You'd have thought that a prestige brand of car would be able to sort a simple time change twice a year all by itself. My Vauxhalls of 20 years ago managed it via the RDS signal on the radio

My car is permanently on BST. I put it in the garage before the clocks change and don't get it out until it's telling the correct time again. Simple.

My comand sorted itself out, previous ones would keep the time right on RDS but require the summer time changes to be made to the hour. This one did it all and I only realised when the eta from the navigation was correct.

not sure how to fix.... you both have a fault... but mines not.

I did have a Central Gateway update in Jan 2017 to 2214481327 (but that's only a few month later to week 5 2007 from week 42 2006.... Note: this needs the RFK updated to match)

    I also have a later 2011 facelift amp/tuner in the back A221 900 3402

Took mine to a main dealer yesterday and they tell me ALL my software is up to date. Car is booked in November 22nd for investigations, will report back findings.

Botus - if your car is 2010 is it the facelift version with NTG3.5 COMAND?

Thanks for that, not looking forward to hearing how many hundreds of £;ssss they charged for the privilege. Mine's a 2009 so I'm afraid I don't know.
