I expect there is already a thread on this subject but I could not find it, so here is the question. Can I set the transmission default mode to Sport rather the Economy setting that it defaults to at the moment ?

Oops probably Andy yes, some of it was general though and might still be relevant

As a matter of interest, apart from making the gearbox more sensitive, what else does the sport mode do, if anything, bearing in mind that I have a W204 facelift :)

Used to have a C63...
It basically holds revs longer before changing up, or kicks down sooner.

On my DCT it may make the changes a fraction quicker...

I tend to use S a lot in Devon, not to be sporty, but because it tends to be in a better gear for engine braking and rolling through & out of twisty/hilly sections.

The fact I get a bit more V8 burble & bark is a bonus...
