Ok does anyone know what type of turbo will be on the w169 2ltr diesel engined A class 2007. I have read some cars have what they are known as "variable Vane" which are known on other cars makes to clog up. I,m thinking this being largish engine in small body it should out perform my 2.2 diesel in the mitsubishi 7 seat 4 wheel drive weighing in at over 2 ton but its slow in fact my Citroen C2 with 1.4 hdi engine having 135000 mile has more getup and go.

Thanks guys not having a Variable vane turbo sounds good as less to go wrong. just need to find out why its so slow.
Also is there any way to blank the egr valve without upsetting ecu?

You have to have the egr either mapped out or a bypass fitted to fool the ecu into thinking its working, personally I'd go with a remap and get more drive out the 180 especially as it only comes out the factory with 90bhp

Personally I used MSL performance in Birmingham, but that's because its not a bad run there for me, where are you based?
