Anyone used them? Any good?
What happened to Event Tyres?
Yup, excellent, no complaints. Timely service and very reasonable price.
They were cheaper fitted the tyres ok but made a complete pigs ear of the balancing, I suspect having a balancing machine in a van being bounced around in the back is not the best thing to do to it accuracy..
I used them a while ago and found them excellent.
The fitter was spot on and even waited while I painted his shiny silver balance weights before he put them on my black wheels. Apparently they normally have black weights with them but were out of stock.
They were careful with my rims and the balancing on mine was fine so would have no hesitation in recommending them.
No idea about Event Tyres, used them a few years ago as well, also with no issues. Their website is down though so there could be a problem?
I'e used Event tyres too. No complaints at all.
I’d also recommend eTyres for the same reasons.
I have in my mind that Event were bought by ATS but I may have imagined that! Think they had a Warrington HQ
Bit more info on Event Tyres: -
Their registered address has been changed to a firm of insolvency practitioners as of last Friday.
Companies house shows them in administration.
Apparently they had gone into partnership with AA tyres who have also closed down.
A shame as they were a good handy company.
Christopher Shankland would be turning in his grave.
Founder of the company in 2003 and built it up to 30 employees before he died in 2014.
