Upgrade To 2008 Mercedes C200 Display

Hi there,

I have recently got a Merc and I wanted to look in to upgrading the display so I can get sat nav & watch DVD’s etc.

Do you know where I can buy the equipment to upgrade my 2008 Mercedes C200. It already has the basic small display under the lift up flap & do you think I will need to get extra software to run it or is that included when you buy the display?

Also, does anyone know any companies who could fit this for me?

Your best bet is to talk to ComandOnline.

I think the only way to do that is to retrofit COMAND which should be fairly simple but expensive

Mine has DVD on a 7 inch screen and looks great.
That said, I've only used it a few times whilst parked up and waiting for the missus.
Absolutely not worth having DVD on a front screen unless you have lots of time sat in the car when it's parked.
Only exception being of the display type that isn't visible to the driver when in motion.
Sat nav is good but not great unless you get full post code search, my 2008 doesn't do full post code search.

Your best bet is to talk to ComandOnline.

I second that. From memory, they quoted about £1400 some years ago to retrofit Comand to my E Class. In the end, I went with Navigation 20 although the parts for that are no longer available so that won't be an option.

They are based in Lightwater near to J3 of the M3 and I can recommend their work.

You could buy the parts off E-Bay but you will need it coding to the car with STAR
