Urgent help think Kompressor has gone

Just had my car back from a garage today. We have had a whurring noise coming from the front end which we thought was a wheel bearing however the noise appears to be coming from the engine. The garage have taken the belt of and noted some noise from the tensioners but think the main noise is the Kompressor. A new one is 1200 from Mercedes. Does anyone know if we can get one from anywhere else I am searching frantically. Also if the diagnosis could be anything else. I have noticed no loss of power or high oil consumption. The car is a C200 Coupe 1796cc 2003. Thanks

Any help appreciated guys. Any reconditioning companies I could try to repair the supercharger?

I'm no expert but there is a bearing on the front of the supercharger. There is a thread somewhere that details how to replace the bearing. Or it could be the tensioner bearing.

mine also whirrs but think its the alternator bearings.
