HELP HELP HELP!!!! Hi i have just purchased a used SLK 200 (2001) and it she veers to the left if i lightly hold onto the wheel on top of that if i travel over forty miles or over she shudders and does not seem to grip the road right and when breaking im all over the place. Ive taken her to the garage and had the front two wheels balanced the breaking has improved, but she still wobbles and im still veering to the left. Any ideas ANYONE as i feel i have just been stung. HELP PLEASE.

Search for "veering to the left". There are LOTS of threads about this. It is a very common problem (which some MB dealers apparently refer to as a "design feature" ). Some do it, some don't. Seems to be just luck of the draw. Mainly a c-class problem though rather than the SLK.

The shudder and breaking wobble sounds a little more serious. These cars do seem to have major front suspension wear at very low mileage. Just another example of MB "build quality". Welcome to the club....
