Hi All,
I like to say thanks first.
I bought an used car last year. And experience some noise. My car is W166. And knocking noise is from front right when I stop car, push accelerator and turn left (steer wheel was trun left around 180 degrees), or turn right (steer wheel was trun right around 225 degrees).
When I push accelerator very light, sometime there would be no noise.
I had replaced stablizer link, but it did not fix this noise.
As I found some bushing cracked a little bit, so I am planning to replace front control arms(Left/right/lower/upper) together.
Also checked ball joint if there is too much clearance. After checking, there is no too much clearance.
Not sure if there is any other possibility to cause noise like this.
Would appreciate if you can provide me your valued opinion.
Thanks
Rex

A continuous clack clack clack type noise when on or near full lock is a worn CV joint.
Hi,
Thanks for your advice.
If full lock is at 2.3 turns (steering wheel), my car happens noise at around 0.5 turn (left) and 0.625 turn (right). Is that noise possible related to CV joint? Is there a way to verify it?
Thanks again.

Rex

Does it repeat with each rotation of the road wheel?
