Does anyone have any tips to share on a DIY replacement for a lower arm bottom ball joint?

Part No. A 169 333 01 27

OSF has decided enough is enough and the grease is now away.

I was thinking about replacing the other side too at same time. Any comments about this?

Thanks.

Job done. Thanks for above info sheets. Replaced both but after dismantling the NSF it was still in good condition internally.

I just found out, I need to replace the angular ball bearing on the NSF ... those WIS pages will be useful ... to understand what a professional mechanic will be doing ;) ha ha

Are the elongated slots in the lower ball joint to adjust toe along with the tie rods?. It's hard to put new ones in exactly the same position as the old.
Cheers.

Yes, there are three bolts holding the ball joint, they are to adjust the angle. Make a sign with a thin marker with the old mounted, so you know how to put the new one on. They are for caster angle if I remember well
