Water pump on my 190E 2.6 M103 is knackered.
Have started the process of removal but access looks difficult.
Is there any good info anywhere on the net to go about this?
Or has anyone done this that can give tips.

Get the Haynes it tells you what you need to know.
I was also a bit put off by the awkward looking access, its not realy a problem if you use good tools that fit the fixing devces properly.
or
1/Lift the bonnet to the fully vertical position, gives better access
2/remove the radiator hoses and fixing clips, cap the transmission oil cooler pipes
3/then carefully lift out the radiator without the fan shroud, it should come out after the rad.
4/release the drive belt tensioner and remove belt (you may want to try to undo the fan pulley nut before you take the belt off, see diy section)
5/remove the fan and pulley
6/remove the pump body
7/As they say in haynes re-assembly is the reverse of the above proceedure.
8/Flush the cooling system and put new coolant in.
I'd change the tensioner bearings while it's in bits and the thermostat as well come to think of it.
And last but not least take lots of relevant pics and write it up for the DIY section
good luck

I'd happily give you a pdf from WIS but I can't upload pdfs here and I think I've shot my bolt on the upload limit.

Sorry, you can't PM me (yet, I think), but if you give me an e-mail address, and your chassis number, I can mail it to you.

Sorry, no personal experience of changing one. I have done one on a mk3 Astra though. :D
