Hi

I am having trouble finding new/replacement parts for my 2000 W202.They are rubber strips that run horizontally aft of the front wheels and before the rear wheels. I am not sure of their official description, which might explain the difficulty I am having finding them on the Web.

What do MB call them? How are they fitted? Are fitting clips involved? They look as though they just push into place. Mine have started to break up and I have lost one completely. I have attached a couple photos showing what they look like but not from my car.

They don't look expensive but with MB you never know. It has just occurred to me that maybe the rubber/plastic 'watch-you-call-thems' is supplied in a roll and it is cut to the length required.

Hi,
I bought some of these for my C43 and they weren't to expensive, they were individual assemblies with built in clips if I remember correctly, I could post up the Pt. No. later if required, but you will only get them from MB.

W202 sill rubber (seals) part nos

Hi Andy

I have some part numbers, unverified, which might ring bells with you ...

front seals

A 202 698 41 30
A 202 698 42 30

rear seals

A 202 698 45 30
A 202 698 46 30

I have issued a number of enquiries to MB specialists but the response so far has been non-existent.

Try MB, I would say far too specific to get a generic part from elsewhere.

Always known them as wing to sill filler strips, they are only available from MB.

They're very cheap but never seem to withstand removal and replacement. Kind of like most clips on the 202

Hi All

Thanks for your replies.

I agree, they don't seem to last long once removed or reinserted. I find it difficult to believe they are sold in specific lengths. They look as though they could be cut off a roll, as required.

Do they have an 'official' MB name like 'sill rubber' that I could use to search/buy them? I still don't have a supplier but that could be because I haven't desdcribed them correctly.

A Very Happy New Year to all MBO Members.

They come pre formed to suit the car, just ring MB parts dept and give them your chassis/vin number, then explain to them the bits you want.
