The alarm on my wife's 2005 C320 CDi keeps going off. I've done a search but could someone confirm that it's a case of driver side front wheel off, remove arch liner and disconnect the thing for her model please. Thanks.

It is my understanding that the alarm sirens are under the nearside wheel arch liner rather than the driver side.

Sorry - false reply.

Yes - front passenger wheel arch is normal. Good luck - I had the same problem a few months ago. When I took the liner off, the bracket had rusted away and a block of rust and alarm was rolling about in the cavity. Cut it off and threw it away.

Four months of peace and quiet, until last night. Went off six or seven times. Right, I've got the wheel off and the liner on the left (towards the front of the car) is the thing the black box towards the top, or is it under the right hand liner which is being stubborn?. Thanks.

Mine was under Nearside wheel arch, closest to the bulkhead.

When I did mine I also Waxoiled everything under there.

All done. Fiddliest bit was matching up the holes in the liners afterwards. No bits left over, so the jobs a goodun. Thanks for your help.
