    Hi folks,

On our W204/2010, the window strips are black, and after a recent je wash the lacquer has peeled off and they look a frigging mess.

How can I sort these out or at least make them look half-decent?

    Thanks.

Yes I agree I'm not sure any version is offered with black trim strips so it's quite possible somebody has painted them in the past.

They are not painted, they are standard shiny black. Its an Executive SE model, so doesnt have the chrome on the along the window line, but has shiny black....

Sorry, I Thought you were referring to the chrome strip above it.

    Same fix though.

You have to access them from inside the door so you have to strip the door cards etc off, total pain

Once the mirror comes off, it looks like they just come away without having to remove door cards ??!

Wonder how easily they would clip back in to that channel!?
