W205 C class (67) boot lid not fully closing

Anyone had any problems with their electronic boot lid closing.
Occasionally mine comes all the way down but doesn't shut.
Did it twice this morning and have to push it down to engage the lock. All ok after that.
When it fails, I think I heard a noise as it bounced back a bit.
Watching it I can see that when you push the close button, the silver latch on the boot floor turns waiting for the boot to come down - I am wondering if that didn't turn correctly??

New car, take it back! We don't do MB any favours by trying to fix problems ourselves, or even to suss out the cause.

Worth checking nothing is obstructing the closure before going to the dealer.
Check all around the seals for anything stuck in there causing it to resist fully closing, e'g' kids Lego block.
