Good evening MBOwners

I noticed today that the bar from the motor was disconnected. I tried to push it back on but access is crap and for the life of me I couldn't get it back on. The motor itself is fine.

I know some members have deleted this motor with a resistor.

My question is, if I leave the motor connected, it should prevent any fault codes. Is it better to leave the flaps in the open position or closed (holes closed/blocked)? Or is the motor easy enough to remove and get this stupid bar on?

OK so I got the bar on, but every time the motor moves, it drops off the motor end. I'm assuming the motor ball end is ok and the bar with the plastic ball socket is worn?

Default position of the bar is 'flaps open', the spring holds it there.
