Hi all!

Right, service D is saying is due in 700 miles a little bit annoying as service C was carried out 9,000 miles ago! I’m aware of Mercedes’s over complicated service schedule but if I’m right in saying that generally it’s the time taken on the car if it’s anytning after service B?
Anyway I was thinking of carrying out the service myself potentially I mean an Oil change and oil filter can’t be that hard to do???
Also another quick question is that is gearbox oil change a must last time it was done was at 60ishk miles and it’s on 97k miles now so I don’t know if that needs doing too??
If anyone has got any info on this that would be great!

Here's the PDF file for W211 Flexible Service Sheet covering D and other servicing.

Its USA/Can but is still relevant.

Ahhhh that’s perfect thank you so much!
Even though that’s a US sheet I assume it’s the same? Tallying up what my car was saying all of them were checks!? Apart from replace cabin filter!
It’s saying;
Service 1, 3, 4, 6, 13, 15!

Yep they make it up as they go along £$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£
It makes sense from their point of view because they aren't paying for it all.

Yes to the atf gearbox oil change , with filter , i would do it every 40k miles . Engine Oil and filter change are pretty easy , have a look on ebay for a Pela 6000 pump , which makes changes a doddle .

Right so I was in contact with the garage who serviced it back in January, they were slightly confused as to why the car is asking for another service, as apparently according to them it’s saying it wants another oil change + brake fluid plus a few filters like cabin filter.
The oil was done in January 9k miles ago along with brake fluid, so there answer was too me was that these service computers can get confused and say it needs a service when in fact it doesn’t? Now my instinct is telling me if the car needs a service it needs a service but surely it doesn’t need an oil change already!
They said there more than happy to plug it in to there computer FOC to see what’s actually going on so I’m probably going to take it in next week!
I’ll book it in for gearbox oil change next week separately.

My 270 used to want a service ever 10-12k did the oil every time, as you have assist depending on the engine condition and style of driving it can actually increase up to 15k between services. Mine used to swing between 10-12k depending on what I'd been doing in those few months I was using it, I used to drive 25-30k a year.

My old 270 used to be serviced every
13k , however as it got older I used to go to kwik fit and have the oil service then do the other bits myself , they used to do the oil n filter with quality oil cheaper than I could buy the parts. ..
