2006 T211/E350 petrol wagon
Recently purchased E350 wagon which has, I suspect, been sitting on forecourts for some time. Various items not working and I'm wondering if some of them might be down to a single component.
Things not functioning include:
Exterior mirrors (not folding)
Interior lights
Sunroof
Panel lighting - instruments/climate control/seat heating, etc. (on at night but dim - seemingly off in daytime. 'Reset' button on full.)
Vanity mirror lights
Any advice/thoughts appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

Start by putting the main battery on charge for a full 24hrs at a 4amp min charge. No need to disconnect the battery if you have a garage or can run a lead into the car. Connect the neg terminal first before turning on the charger and disconnect the neg' last.

Low voltage and Mercedes don't go together well, and all kinds of malfunctions can arise. Once charged, take a look at what is still not working and post back.

The folding mirrors may just need resetting on the steering wheel controls ( covenience function) if a fully charged battery doesn't fix them.

Thanks for your advice. I'll test the battery. Already tried the rapid press of the mirror folding button: they click but don't retract, as they're set to do in 'convenience.'

Isn't the car still within warranty from the dealer ? If so , get them to sort it .

Replaced all fuses - engine, dashboard and boot fuseboxes. No difference. :(

Look at the battery terminals to see what date is stamped on them . May be worth paying for an MB Star computer check at your local Merc or Merc Indy (which would be cheaper ) .
If the battery is over 8 years old may be worth getting a new one anyway ?

I think looking at the list the common component is the front SAM so that would need looking at with STAR.

Thanks for all your help. I'll take it to the nearest Mercedes dealer for a full diagnostic report.
