E220 W211 Shooting Break 57 Plate
Hi,

I have a reacurring problem with my 57 plate e220 estate.

I have replaced at least 4 of the xenon headlight ballast resistors now and it keeps happening.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem and how to stop it happening over and over, on average, every 2-3 months now.

Many thanks, Nic

When you say the ballast resistor. Do yo mean the silver box that the bulb slots into?

It’s a headlight ballast resistor that fits to the side of the headlight unit.

It’s looks like a hard drive.

I’d be looking at a harness fault going into the ballast. These things should last for 10 years.
