The kit has arrived.

I have a question, according to DAS i need to enter the number of graduation lines on the bottle(from original tester kit) after the test is complete.
Does anybody know how many ml is 1 graduation line from that particular bottle shown in DAS. so i can compare it to my bottle, and use DAS to do the test.
Otherwise i can follow guidelines above.

Did you clamp off the injector spill pipe return feed ?
When you remove the injector number 4 spill pipe injector connector
you need to clamp off the fuel return.
Believe it or not I've had some strange test results not clamping off the return on some engines.

Step 4 in this link.

I did not have a clamp at hand, but i covered the ends of the connectors with plastic caps that came with the kit, a bit of a loose fit, however when running the engine i kept a close eye for fuel coming back out of the connectors, lukily there was no fuel coming out of tge connecters.

Now my question is, are the clamps put in place ‘solely’ to stop the fuel coming back out?
And just say there was no fuel coming out, and no clamps in place, does that mean the test was not ok?

Or isit the case that ONLY if fuel comes out that it can have an effect on the test results?

I think your test was ok and an extra clamp would not have changed anything pal but I think westheath is rightly sharing is experiences with regular dealings on spill testing , if you are refurbing the set then it doesn't really matter anyway right ?

Too far from me to help.

The cleaning kit from MB has tapered brass plugs for the injector nozzle holes so nothing can enter the cylinder during clean up process.

A wood dowel with emery paper glued on the end can do the same job polishing the injector seat.

I have successfully changed the injector today.

After replacing injector suddenly i can hear my fuel pump making sound, sounds like theres air in the system and makes a knocking sound from the rear seat.

Any ideas any1?

Purging the air from the fuel system after the repair.
Also............
Check for leaks on fuel hoses, connectors and leak off pipes.

The injector cleaning brush kit u mentioned, i managed to get it slightly cheaper from the main dealers. Its a very good kit.

I opened the fuel filter inlet pipe to get air out of the system, but seems like nothing came out.
Fuel pump still making knocking sound. And can hear air travelling through.

Please help
