w212 E220 2011 61 plate major fault

we have a e220 w212 that jumped in to park at 30mph the fail safe did not cut in and made the car come to a very ubruped Holt the car was then taken to mercedes benz cardiff for investigation 2 weeks later and we now know that the car is still stuck in park and all mercedes are telling us is that the car should not jump in to park and there is nothing more they are willing to do. they dont even want to investigate why there fail safe did not work if the car had done this 30 mins earlier it would of been on the m4 motorway traveling at 70 mph the brake lights did not come on when this happened and could of coursed a major accident but as there was no accident MERCEDES DAIMLER (THATS THE GERMAN HQ) SAY they are washing there hands of the matter. I BELIEVE THAT THIS COULD LEAD TO A MULTI CAR PILE UP OR EVEN WORSE A FATALITY, BUT NOT ONLY THE E220 IS AT RISK BUT ALL CARS WITH THE NEW COLUMN CHANGE GEAR LEAVER, I THINK IT IS DISGUSTING THAT MERCEDES NOW KNOW ABOUT THIS POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC FAILURE AND DONT EVEN WANT TO FIND OUT WHY, ITS A SHAME THAT IT WASNT INVOLVED IN A CRASH DUE TO THIS AS I KNOW VOSA AND THE UK GOV WOULD HAVE MADE A RATHER LARGE ENQUIRER IN TO THIS MATTER.

HAS ANY ONE EVER HEARD OF THIS AS MERCEDES HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS (SAYING IT CAN NOT HAPPEN) WELL I GOT SOME NEWS FOR MERCEDES IT CAN AND HAS HAPPENED THEY EVEN HAVE THE PROOF AS THE CAR IS STILL ON THE RAMP 2 WEEKS LATER. I HAVE A FLEET OF MERCEDES WITCH ARE NOW GOING TO BE SOLD OFF AS I HAVE LOST ALL CONFIDENCE IN THE BRAND

Who was driving it at the time?
As it is a taxi do you have any on-board CCTV?

I was driving it at the time there is on bored cctv but as there were no passengers in the car at the time the cctv was not active as our local authority say in there bylaws we are not aloud to have it on all the time only if we feel threatened or believe the customer may be up to no good.

I was driving at the time, there is cctv in the car but not on at the time due to the bylaws set by newport city council who state we are only aloud to use it if we feel under thret or we believe the passenger is up to no good

I've not heard of it happening and the forums tend to be a place where we hear all the bad things about cars.

What has the dealer said about the issue, are they just trying to get the car back to you now as they can't find a problem?

which cars don't have column change in the range now, pretty sure it's most new models released since about 2013, maybe earlier?
