I have had my E250 for 8 months now with a few minor and slightly annoying issues. Purchased it with 49K on the clock now has 74k.
I am very lucky and have full access to a Snap On diagnostic tools and some other OBD scanners so have been able to sort out the issues myself.
With my car I have been getting an intermittent fault with the exhaust temperature sensor, the sensor was replaced but the issue still came and went (no other faults logged).
What I have found, if the car is doing a DPF regen and the EGR valve is slightly sooted up / not functioning 100% correctly then the sensor produces a fault code for an implausible reading and you loose power, not limp home mode, just a loss of power. An ignition off and back on again and all is well again.
Removal and a clean of the EGR seems to have solved the issue
