    Hi all,

I'd like to know what you think of Mercedes W212 E250 from late 2012, any known issues? Anything to look out for or be aware of?

Currently it's at 88k and read a lot on the internet about timing chain, failure of oil pump, crankshaft which puts me off a little bit. Do you know the engine and transmission codes of this car? I'm not sure where I can find them.

    Thank you :)

I wouldn’t be put off necessarily
For every 1 report of these issues there are probably 50 other satisfied owners who are not going to spuriously post on the net about no problems!
There are loads around taxiing with astronomical mileages with no issues, the key being proactive maintenance. As with any car due diligence in that area is the first focus when buying
The engine is OM651, gearbox 722.9
    Hope that helps
