Likely a gearbox module about to fail - it can then get stuck in park at some point and you will be stuck!
Get it on Star to be checked

As above, get it checked and don't put it in park, even when you get to the garage, it may not come out. Could be the ESM.

Call the AA or RAC for recovery . Good luck , but I don't know if I would have been 130 miles from home with a warning like that on the dash .

Not alot, when there stuck, they can be really stuck and in park too. We've had them stranded in the middle of our car park, either undo the prop or unbolt esm from side of box to get it out of park. Order new TRP part and code in. PITA.

The respected Indy Wayne Gates in North London is probably closest for Relay there .

Which new part ?
The selector gubbins on the side of the box ( intelligent servo or some such ) ?

Needs coding ?

Can I do that with my star or need dealer to do with internet connection to factory?

Yes the ISM, get the faults read first before guessing, its a Theft Relevant Part (TRP) and will need coding. Don't think a copy star will do but not sure as we only have online star diagnostics. Need all the docs to order one if it is that.

So is a used ism a viable option or will the coding be a problem ?

Sorry I've been been on a flight so out of touch and just seen how this has escalated! What a bummer! Are AA coming? Or have come? Presume you're off to Wayne Gates with it

Could that be related ?
