W221 telephone module

Hi, had my CL for over 3 yrs now and used a viseeo mb3000 unit for BT phone..just purchased a w221 S class and it has a cradle in the armrest with BT buttons..i can scan my phone and find MB bluetooth but it wont connect..found an MB code which it accepted but phone will not connect? Mb3000 doesnt fit so if anyone needs one i have one..anyway do i need to get the mb4 viseeo unit or am i doing something wrong? The cradle has a BT button which puts out a signal my phone can see..any info much appreciated

on initial NTG 3 vehicles 2006 to 2009…. you may also come across ( I believe optional) BT in command but that's NOT for phone calls its for a link to a dummy handset working via the clipped in phone

facelift NTG 3.5 post 2009 have proper BT built in

your cradle I think means you can pair with certain nokia's or clip said phone in and charge / use in situ....

what I think should work but not tried is if you had another nokia you could try to link to each other via SIM Access Profile (SAP) and connect a phone to the clipped in nokia and get it to work

you can get auto connecting fault free BT using a merc unit or any of 3 viseeo units 3, 4 or 4+ (set dip switches the right way round - not in the manual for the w221 - its the same as NTG4 setting)

there's also 4 other SAP handsets which don't seem to agree with the NTG3 electronics and it becomes rather random / flaky (also worth noting SAP connection not supported by Apple and not out of the box by Android)
