I get pretty frustrated with the diesel bike build today, and seing as the sun went behind some clouds, I thought now would be a good time to wash the car!

A wash, and polish with an orbital buffer, and tyre treatment + poorboys wheel sealant (first time, so will see how it fairs!)

Turnd out lovely! :)

Album here (gave me a chance to play with my new DSLR :) )

Looking well!

The PB wheel sealant is good...just dont use any wheel cleaners on the wheels or it will strip the sealant off...especially something like Bilberry as that strips it straight off lol! Use normal soapy water...

I found PB sealant likes to be layered up...3 layers works very well but as said, dont use wheel cleaners lol

I find the amg wheels come up very well with just soapy water. The main aim is to keep the corrosive brake dust away from the alloys as it really makes them look bad.

Yeah I know what you mean...if you want the ultimate protection, check out the Gtechniq C5 wheel sealant...amazing stuff!

Great work Alex, looks great. Is that a second E55 behind yours ?

I've always wanted to polish my car with a buffer but unsure what sort of buffer and pads to get, any advice ?

Heh its not, its my 320 CDI with AMG Monoblocks on them.

I used an orbital polisher like this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/240V-120W...Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item51a35b6718

and a set of good polishing bonnets. Actually I bought this one that had both in one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251244312661?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I then used http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230945568788?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 - Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0

This stuff is easy to work with, it comes with an applicator so basically, apply a thin layer over the whole car. Leave to dry, then buff with the applicator pad on the polisher, and then buff again with the removal microfibre pad.

You have encouraged me to buy the same kit and polish to treat my S203 to a wash and polish. I'll take no responsibility if the weather gets even worse! :D
