Hi Malcolm,

Do you have anything on W208? Went out Thursday night in very heavy rain & found a steady stream running in to the passenger foot well. I can't se where it would come from under the bonet.

Many thanks,

Miles.

Just done my 208 conv - I removed the grills OK but had to use a chisel to break two clips at the back of the engine but it all went back nice and tight. The hole for the heater is huge.... once I cleared everything out I noticed that the drain had a rubber plug on the back which drained into the nearside wing and it was this plug that had gummed up. If you put your hand in behind the aircon box you will see/feel the rubber bung, just pull it off the plastic spigot and you might find that that's all you need to do.

I get water dripping into the boot of my CLK W209 when I open it - i.e. the water runs down the boot and instead of off to the side it drips into it, which is annoying...

That's ok, it should be much the same as my W220, I have been keeping an eye on that, and it has been all right so far.
I will give the W210 a good look over at the weekend.
Thanks anyway

Alan

Hi, I just joined the forum today and this is my first post as I have been reading as much as I can about R107 sl's after buying a '78 450sl last week from Chelsea Cars. May I bother you for the info on this model as I will have it up on a lift on Friday coming and would love to clean out the drains!
Many thanks in advance.

Many thanks, just finished printing it out.
Is it only where 107 is shown or are most of them relevant?
Also how do I delete my email address?

Just use the section where the 107 is in the start of the text.

go back to your post and you will see the edit button at the bottom,,click on it and you can then just wipe out the address or change any text
