Hi Guys

I am a new merc owner. Can anyone tell me where the water temperature sensor is located in the engine bay of a c250 diesel ( non turbo 300K approx) . It went on the blink this morning and I can get one today and fix it as soon as I locate it..

All help/suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Sensor

Thanks for the reply, a very useful page . I wonder just out of interest does the engine take a reading fromt he sensor and adjust the fuel mixture accordingly i.e. rich when cold and leaner when warm or is that all just mechanical from the pump?

The sensors monitor the air temp and the water temp, and adjust the fuel to suit via the Engine ECU, the pump gives a constant supply irrespective of the engine requirements
