As a cash buyer you will be in a strong position if you decide you want to return to the fold ;-).Sold it almost two weeks ago. I'm Mercedesless
Have faith, mine is now six years old and I havn't yet had an advisory yet on it. Albeit it has only done 26,000 miles
Passed no advisories ( not even cover panels obscuring etc...!)MOT today
I thought I'd switched my tracker off...Will you be back home for your forthcoming birthday?
Mercedes SL500 R231
A while back I posted the analysis of tests done on K&N filters vs paper, for a car we were building in my old job. Have a look for it; the results were that there was no overall performance improvement across the board, and dependent on engine speed & car speed, either paper or K&N filter might show a 2-3% performance improvement over the other. Overall across the speed range, the tests tended to favour paper OEM filters for performance.wheres you proof of this guys ?
Nope. It’s not fraud as their claim is along the lines of “9/10 customers agree”. Read the small print, it’s the same sort of claim that so-called anti-aging beauty treatments make... 17 out of 31 women questioned etc.so all these performance filter manufacturers are fraudsters Craig ?
so all these performance filter manufacturers are fraudsters Craig ?
It falls under the 'marketing' aka bullshit
It falls under the 'marketing' aka bullsh1t. Bit like in the days before gender equality where they sent the bird in with the short skirt, blouse unbuttoned sufficient to show cleavage, carrying a pirelli girlie calendar to sell you parts
Great to meet up too A....the Malcolm SL was looking very fine I must admit and (as I admitted ) I did briefly regret not keeping the 230....but then no! Thanks for lunch I’ll reciprocate some time soon/ also sense check the S600/not!!Let the 230 sit in traffic chatting to all the other cars on the M6 between Birmingham and the M56, took it see an E63 and used it to remind Mr Laidlaw why he really needs an ABC equipped car in his life before driving it home via a few Welsh roads (anything to avoid all those other cars on the M6 - the 230 said that while they were all nice enough they just weren't in the same class).
Was great to meet up with you John - finally can put a face to the name!
