Looked at it and wished I'd never bought it.....
Me today hoovered the smart car and the ML. Was going to fix the slow window on the rear of the ML and just thought well I never open it so why bother.
Then spent the rest of the day polishing the alloys on the CL but still not happy with the shine so another day or two should have them sorted.
New pads for the ML all round tomorrow!!!!!!
Drove mine back to nottingham from portsmouth,
Washed and polished both the SEC and SL and even washed a Micra for good measure.
I am now officially pooped.
Took the SL out for the first time this year with the top down to buy a Magnum for Lilian, then vacuumed all the cars, "please note that I cannot hoover out my cars if I do not have one"
Then I sat in the CL trying to decide if I like it better than the SL
Ice cream, large bottle or gun for Lilian ?
I must admit, I've been doing the same a few times lately, SEC or SL, that is the question.
Yes I like both my cl and sl for different reasons. The sl is light and nimble and a joy to keep up with the motor bikes on the cat and fiddle whereas the cl is a wonderful cruiser. I love both and couldn't choose between them.
all went out side looked at mine dearest wife swerved to miss an ant in the road mounted central reservation wrote off both near side alloys tyres flat still smacking her with a wet fish to calm down and have run out of tears welcome april
regards sad pete
Taxed the Tank for 6 months. £120!
Just seen a 1998 CL420 with 40k miles and 1 owners but at £15k that is a bit silly
Cleaned the green gunge from the seals on my sunroof, gave the leather a treat with Gliptones, again!Removed black rubber mats,a quick hoover and original grey mats put in place. As Ed China would say,job done!
Yes but a 420 is far too economical for me
Very silly......it should remain unsold.
Major upgrades this weekend: a new tax disc holder to replace the dealer advertisement thing and four new valvecaps as the old ones looked like they'd been chewed.
Car runs much smoother now.
I know,,, just those 4 little valve caps transform the whole car
Decided to remove the sunroof seal on the CL this morning as one corner wouldnt stay in position.
Had a quick chat to MB about replacement seal and decided the old one is fine and now fitted correctly.
What do you use for the green gunge? Old fashioned elbow grease? Or something chemical and clever?
I dont get green gunge on my sunroof seal!! never had it either not on any of my mercedes, I would suggest pulling the seal out and cleaning everything and possibly soak the seal in a warm bucket of water with something in it to clean it.
