attacked all the rust spots
I dented it !!!!!!!!!!
I was'nt confident of removing and refitting the seal,things like that have a habit of going pearshaped for me.I just added some persil liquid to warm water and used a nailbrush and then wiped it off with a damp cloth.Then I tilted the sunroof and got a lot off that too.I did the whole lot twice and I think it looks a lot better.The only clever bit was to use the wife's best bed linen to cover the interior just in case.
well saturday actually, but i fitted new front discs and pads. rears next w/e
Thrashed mine to work as I was running behind time then thrased it home as I worked late (again) and wanted to clench my lips around the ice cold beer that was in the fridge.
Took the trim off the tailgate and reconnected the screen washer tube thats been off since i bought it 6 months age. (oh , in the rain)

Hi Tom. Glad you got your gunge off but Persil contains salts that could be a nudge in the direction of causing rust. Just so you know. Might be good to give it a good wash and polish now with proper stuff.

Vinegar at 6% proof or more is a perfect harmless way to remove moss (algae) from rubber and felt seals, water soluble and nature friendly , it does not hurt the paint.
Hoovered and meguairs wash and wax

Waxed the car and took it for a good spin. Car is still putting a great smile on my face

Today i stood at work and looked disparingly at my E300 Td and thought for a car that is owned by a motor vehicle painter my wheels look ****** awfull..George.
I emptied some of the things out of the boxes and nearly cried at it leaving here, but life has to go on
