Ah! Nice to see the ****ing swear filter is working again!
Cover arrived yesterday £20.99 delivered on Amazon prime- fitted this morning to the car in the company car park, much to the amusement of my colleagues....they won't be laughing when my car is **** free though!
It is Craig, and I'm expecting similar in a breeze until I modify it, today's only moderately breezy here but in fairness it has stayed on so far. It's elasticated front and back with a rubbish bit of string in the middle which I'm going to replace.Which cover John? Is it like a grey woven material?
I tried one for the 215 that blew off in any breeze.
And when its really windy and the cover is most likely to cause grief to the bodywork, the aerial seacows will most likely be hunkered down anyway, and hence not partaking of bombing runs on your car... so you can leave it off!Cover arrived yesterday £20.99 delivered on Amazon prime- fitted this morning to the car in the company car park, much to the amusement of my colleagues....they won't be laughing when my car is **** free though!

It's much better quality than some of the reviews suggest and in X/Large size it's actually a very good fit for the 212
My thinking is that I'll only use it on dry days - windy wet days the flying vermin will be less of a problem
You got it!And when its really windy and the cover is most likely to cause grief to the bodywork, the aerial seacows will most likely be hunkered down anyway, and hence not partaking of bombing runs on your car... so you can leave it off!
Wow that's weird Peter!I checked the status on DVLA site and my SL55 details are no longer found It was there in March!
This was only by accident that I checked the details on their site (my son messaged me to ask me if he could use my estate to collect some interior parts and asked if it was taxed, moted and insured. Yes I said but just check on the DVLA site, he messaged back to say 'no mot' so I checked and to my stunned amazement it wasn't moted. So out of curiosity tried checking the Estates mot history and this seems to be locked and private now, then I decided to check all my cars on their other link and they all were recorded with DVLA except for the 55. I have now sent an email off to them to seek clarification as to why it isn't showing?
I guess an up date will follow..........
Impressive! Ying and Yang I guess though - bet you don't get much more than 20 in the SL?Filled up after a motorway run and range topped out a 1006 miles! at average of 48.1 mpg - not bad for an 80 litre tank on S350 diesel.
How's the audible scarecrow working Craig? The one I bought was a good fit on the 215, but it just wouldn't stay on. I had it tied up round the corners, under the body, round the door mirrors, and it still blew off like the bedsheets after cauliflower cheese.
I wanted to protect the car from the winter elements... we are on the direct flight path from one small lake to another so we frequently have entire wings of Canada geese carpet bombing us. I had to take one splat off the 212 this afternoon with a warm- soaked baby wipe (thanks to you & Carl!), must've been a quarter pounder...
Wow that's weird Peter!
Will be interested to hear what reply you get -- I'm guessing a temporary blip in their system and it will clear...I'm curious now though and about to check mine!
Edit: ok I know what might be wrong!
When you selected the vehicle make did you choose 'Mercedes'?
I did that first and also got a not found !
But then did it again with 'Mercedes-Benz' and it all worked as normal!
Do check that
