RB (RedBack)was always a good un. I even got it imported to NSW from Matilda Bay brewery in Perth. Still got an original RB tee shirt somewhere.
Not VB (Victoria Bitter). Then again it could be worse with Castlemain XXXX or pi55, or couldn't give a fcuk about this beer stuff

Castlemain XXXX

Weren't the X's the signatures of the four company directors?
They sure as **** knew nothing about making a nice beer!

Back on topic... drove the 129 to work again this morning. Lovely.
To reward it I also ordered a pair of new rotors to go with the new distributor caps. :)

Having wire brushed all the surface rust off the suspension bolt heads and nuts, managed inbetween the rain to paint all the bolts/nuts heads on one rear side. Hell that suspension system is complicated suspension arms all over the place!

Horrible fiddly job but having replaced any rusty bolt-on parts like exhaust brackets and EPB heat shield and painted the brake callipers; these were the last elements with any rust, fortunately just surface rust ...but looked naff.

Took Madame out for a little spin and went looking for mushrooms . . .

Came across a Frenchman in the middle of the forest playing bagpipes.

It's been a funny old day . . .

Just whipped the under tray off the 190 as it's going in for alignment checks today. I noticed over the weekend when I took it over to Leeds for a meet that the steering wheel is a little offset and it has a slight tendency to pull to that side as well.

Found a little place in Bolton (just up the road) who have a Hunter machine and, after the usual due diligence of checking reviews and chatting with the operator, booked it in with them.

I've also sprayed all the camber bolts and track rods with Plus Gas just now, so he should hopefully have a relatively easy morning with everything being freed off. It's mostly new stuff under there anyway, but another job to tick off the list.

Drove the 215 to Newcastle. Aside from horrid traffic conditions the car handled perfectly.

I went to do gt the 129 aligned a while back - its wearing the outside edge of the right front wheel badly and the steering wheel is slightly off to one side. Everything underneath is seized solid. Looks like I need to replace all the steering arms/linkages. Oh well... something to stop me being bored!

On a brighter note, top up the water in the radiator 1ltr that should keep the 1 malfunction at bay :D

Got my little car back after a very informative morning.

Just took delivery of a nice new pair of Beru rotors for the 129 ignition. Only £55 the pair delivered so quite chuffed!

Didn't do anything on the cars ...... Had a great time in Brugge with Nick15 and Stuart instead :):). Putting the R107 into hibernation today i.e. in garage, with dust cover, on axle stands, letting tyres down to 10psi and disconnecting battery.

Taking the R230 to the cast to help recover from a good day in Bruges with Pullman and Stuart. As designated driver could not join in with their tasting of the local beer (why such large tankards) but could indulge in the chocolate. Chocolate and beer bill exceeded cost of tunnel!

I like me real ale and always find the Belgium dark ale is a good alternative. Thanks Nick for chauffeuring around two alcoholics. On tea break at moment. :D:D:D!!

I find a fluffy yellow cloth works well, gets washed with the rest of my microfiber cloths but spreads the megs gel nicely
