Managed 24mpg average from home to Portsmouth. Not bad for an old M119 given the long queues on the A34, M3 and M27.

Built a high resolution (1280x720 1000TV lines) Sony CCD reversing camera, into a brand new tailgate handle bar (A1697401993), whilst keeping the numberplate lights untouched - the current one, with a cam in the left light, will be for sale soon.

Happy with the result - look nice, clean and OEM...ish :)

Will test and fit tomorrow.

Just loaded the E class up with "stuff" going to be leaving home at 6am for a hopefully quiet run to Anglesey to get there for Sunday Roast . Sandwiches made for breakfast , and a story tape on the seat ready to go as I'm going by myself . 300 miles each way :D

Yesterday drove her 400+ miles and today will be laying her up for winter. Going to be sad leaving her here.
The drive yesterday was lovely....and a brief stretch of her long legs saw us north of 130..... sublime.

Took the SL for a drive in the sunshine, too cold to put the roof down though.

Never too cold. Windows up, wind deflector up, seat heaters on and heating turned up should cope with anything down to negative numbers.

Today... filled up Adblue tank on the 212, and started the 215 for the first time since moving her over to the new house. Uh oh. No light-me-home function on unlock. Engine turned over sluggishly. First thought- battery charger is at the back of a “rather full” garage. Second- TFFT- she starts. So she’s had an engine warm up cycle, I’ll take her to work through the week to stretch her legs I think.

Have a TVR. Still keep the roof down without seat heaters, neck heaters, wind deflectors etc !! It has to be done...
