Thermostat replaced

£120 for Merc one - ECP one doesn't fit due to the Merc nuance of how their stuff fits otherwise ut would have been £30!

£55 Labour charge ..

All done at these guys www.deutschtek.co.uk in Glasgow with almost no notice...

Very happy

500+ miles to be exact although Glasgow was my birthplace and where I lived for over 40 years - so far yet not so far ;)

Heading back down the road tomorrow , snow permitting, with an over night around Crewe at a pub...

Took it to Halfords for a £35 MOT , which it surprisingly passed with no advisories :)

Checking the MOT history it only covered 3.5k miles in the last 12 months partly due to my daughter being away travelling for three months and me using her car.

Happy bunny.

Booked it's "A" service for next Friday.

Imagine that with a 5.5 bi turbo? :p

There was a '14 plate E63s Saloon outside my indy that had failed it's MOT on emissions, no fault codes showing but the emissions are off the scale, thinks it's a bad attempt to map it causing it!!!

Stopped off on the way to work to have a quick look at the 55's oil leak, looking very much like an ABC pump leaking

Pump or strut?
I hope it isn’t however there is always the possibility of a seal kit if you feel up to it?

Funny you should mention that, saw the kits last night, great minds think alike ;)

Pump or strut?

Pump Alistair

Apparently the connection on these pumps where they connect via the banjo bolt can work loose and the alloy seal fractures under the extreme pressure?
When it is taken to Giles I let him investigate my diagnosis.......I have been wrong many many times before
The reservoir is down on fluid but at least the car is still sitting up and level :)

Replaced my one faulty rear parking sensor on my C220, Fixed it without taking the whole bumper off too, only the black diffuser part, so now i got my rear sensors back, so I'm very happy.

Inflated my tyres (they were surprisingly low) and put on a coat of Carlack Long Life - easy peasy 30 min job.

Just inflated tyres on my w203 c270, in PSI they were RN 21.5, RO 30.5, FN 27.5, FO 29.5

Looks like I may have to get them re-sealed on the crappy rims, tyres are Michelin CrossClimate only 1yo, all four corners.
