You're drinking Malbec in Spain!!!!!!

That is extremely perceptive of you J B !
You really must audition to be the next person to fill the role of Hercule Poirot when Sir KB has finished ruining it !

The story behind it being my favourite Red is that when I retired in 2005, our London Investment Office invited me to dinner in the City and the accompanying main course wine was an Argentinian Malbec. I had never tasted nor heard of it , but I enjoyed it (and the evening!) so much, that I put it on my list of Reds to continue to savour. And I continue to enjoy it and I recommend it to anyone who likes Red and has not had it.
I had some bottles here in the Villa which I purchased in Angouleme when I drove down here in September . I am also a fan of Spanish Reds!!

Regards
John

My vin du jour is a little- known Italian by the name of Raboso. I’ve never seen it anywhere other than the Veneto region where it grows (the grape does not do well when transplanted). I believe it’s also one of the Ancient Roman grape varieties. Certainly an easy - hic- drinker.

Malbec, though Argentinian in origin, is now produced widely across the wine growing world.
My current daily favourite version is a budget Aussie variety in most UK supermarkets - about £7/bottle (occasionally discounted) fruitier and slightly lighter than the Chilean or Argentinean originated stuff. o_O;)

I do love a Malbec and Rioja, actually wine in general

Can thoroughly recommend this

One of my favourites at the moment is from our local vineyard in France.
Its a Merlot-Malbec-Négrette blend and is lovely. At only €5 its superb value.

Is that for a flagon or just a bottle? ;)

Well I’ve started the Red / White threads on Benz Bin (appropriate :) ). Feel free to add ones for Rose/ Port / Gin etc - there is a world of quaffing awaiting us!

Goodness gracious me all this talk of fluids made me order 10 bottles of ABC fluid from MB Grangemouth for my loving 55 which now resides along with the 500 at LG Motor Services :) hope Giles doesn't take a liking to the supercharged engine ...........
