Took it for its annual visit to the ramps......

(and it passed)
And so did mine last Thursday evening, good to go now until April 2020. Next bridge to cross is the annual road tax in March €380.00, then April, the Mother of All Motoring Costs in Ireland--------Insurance:(. 2nd car, bought in 2015 ( 2003 Audi A6 1,9 TDI Sports) 1st insurance €320.00 Full Comp etc. In 2016, jumped to €1175.00. Reason given? You only have one year no claims on this car.. while they conveniently forgot 40+ years of no claims on the "Main Family Car" ......so now that the Merc has replaced the Audi...provisional quotes for the Merc start €800.00. basic Comp before the "extras" are added on...Named drivers, No Claims protection...plus anything else they can Add-on. Looking forward to it ( NOT):oops::oops:

Just as a matter of interest Craiglxviii... quite an impressive list of " Things To Do" how much progress since this was posted? Don't get me wrong I'm not being critical...just curious.
Best Regards, JIM2:D

They're mainly my jobs! Moving house, laying laminate in the kitchen/ diner/ hall, building a castor dolly to store the trailer on end, boarding out the garage roof space and destoring the trailer, painting the garage white and setting up workshop, setting up home interweb network- might have need for a server, Mr Foti..?

House moved (thanks to LK’s help!)
Interwebwork set up.
House attic boarded (not garage)- VERY problematic.
Rethink of trailer under way (probs change to caravan).

Still to do:

Clear out ten tons of junk from garage.
Seal & paint garage floor.
Board garage roof to create ceiling.
Insulate garage walls and ceiling.
Board out walls in hardboard.
Paint walls white.
Set up workshop.

Finally got all the bits of rot cut out from the rear arches of the 190 and all new metal welded in. :)
Now the tidying up bit begins. :(

It really did surprise me how much crud the underseal was hiding, though most of it's been on for nearly thirty years. Worth stripping it though as I've hopefully now sorted all the bad bits out. Still a long way to go before I get it how I want it but another box has been ticked.

Next thing to do will be to get it back on the road and get a few miles on it but the weather's looking poor for next week. It's been nearly three months since I last took it out, so I suppose another couple of weeks won't make any difference.

Know how the moving thing is Craig, moved in January, poor moving guys totally underestimated our move, took them 2 days and 2 lorries, one 2200 cu ft and a van plus 5 workers to move us, LostKiwi would have been pleased he didn't offer his services lol.
We're now doing the plumber, Electrician and builder in for improvements

Wow was all their work that bad or is this a sort of Kray's style reference that you will be doing them in until they agree to do the work for free?

Neither, the DIY by the previous owner was a little bit Tommy Cooper and Eric Sykes as in The Plank :D
