Not on the same planet even Dave....but the hubs are finally done!

Very nice John ...
Got a link to the C-PL and heater you used?

I keep a couple of these in the car. I have 4 in total. Keep two in the car and two in the airing cupboard. Rotate them once every 3mths and seems to stop the condensation.

Although my S212 doesn’t get that much inside but more than my liking.

The heater was just a B&D 2000w heat gun, just wafted it too and fro.
If the dehumidifier doesnt work I will order a

Changed the rear wiper drive and beauty panel on the 211 today. Trim removal was a b1tch and I’m not sure I replaced it correctly (@Welwyn Merx you may have a refit job there!) as there’s a new little squeak! Anyway, wiper drive works and the new trim panel glued on much more easily than I thought in -1 C! Kudos to Loctite gel for useability!

Looks superb Peter. Nothing like becoming acquainted with your favourite toy again is there?

Your certainly right Alistair, drove very sedately back home making the acquaintance last longer, I even let the Focus RS and SLK55 battle it out together on the dual carriageway, I guess the Focus was doing over 120, the SLK 55 catching him up :D
They came passed me like I was standing still and I was 9 over :geek:

Better get some winter tyres on then buddy , snow is forecast :D

What! And spoil my fun ;)

Checked ABC fluid level ... still crystal clear and exactly where it was after MBS replaced my front strut and flushed it ... not dropped a 1/10 th of a mm. :):):)
So very pleased.
Checked the ABC pressure on the MBII and it says 188 bar. As it was after the flush . I Think thats a good pressure ... if I recall 190 bar was the perfect result.

So not bad for 43,000 miles and 8 years 8 months .

One of the reassuring benefits of paying guys like MBS, who really know their stuff, to do this kind of work.

Well, just ordered a 7l water filter from race glaze, I’m sure that will be enough for me doing one car at a time...
Also just received replacement key batteries- you have to live Amazon but really? Does anything need this much packaging ?

Maybe delivery charges are by size.....

Good to hear went well.

Always interested in these ABC flushes as MB still insist it is not required.
Personally I disagree .. it is oil after all. And would definitely do it (as a minimum) every 40,000 miles

So was it totally clear / mildly dirty or very dirty?
How many miles since it had been done, or was it its first flush?

I've found a good slap can sometimes work wonders...

Every 20k or two years is the golden rule for ABC...

I totally agree Ideally every 20,000 if you have the chance.
I didnt realise it was every 2 years, I thought it was every 4 years.
But I guess its not too dissimilar to brake fluid, so every two years could be beneficial I suppose .... doing such low mileage ... I might skimp on the time element and push it to 3 years.

Even then, if done every 3 years and in my case thats 9,000 to max 15,000 miles it would still be far better ABC maintained than the average CL.

The 20k/ 2 years thing came out in the US directly from Pentosin themselves. Sure it’s going to be skewed for sales but remember:

Oil has a chronological lifetime as well as a performance one.

ABC fluid sees a lot more abuse than brake fluid does.

Mine didn't really interfere with stowing it in the slot. Just annoys me that it's broken!

Also need to give the whole filler cap area a good clean up.
Just cut the loose ends off and forget the strap was ever there, thats what i did on my SL!
