Moved the steering wheel one spline to the left on my 300CE so that it is straight and level. So small a thing but it has been bugging me!
Is this easy?

Have exact same issue since I bought her. Notch or 2 to the left would cure it!

Fix the cause not the symptom. Get the alignment properly checked and only move the wheel on the splines as a last resort.

^^ This ^^

The wheel was out on my 190 when I first acquired it. Took it in for alignment and whilst it wasn't that far out, all is now sorted, the steering wheel is dead straight and it's a pleasure to drive again. And the wheel never came off the car...

Moving the wheel will not resolve incorrect alignment.

While I'm on the subject of the 190, managed to get it back on all 4 wheels last night after refitting the subframe.

A quick run round in it to check it out, all feels fine and I have the added bonus of no warning lights for the diff or the ABS, both of which were disconnected. Bleeding the hydraulic diff is a nightmare job but is now successfully completed, so it's hopefully now time for some happy miles. :)

Swapped out the ‘now out of date’ First Aid Bag, for 2 litre Water Carriers.
TBH protected by 2 tons of S Class metal and countless airbags, and of course the not insignificant 5.5L “plough” lump of metal, were the accident to get to me ... one would need an air ambulance not a bag of bandages LOL :):)

Having watched the latest BBC Investigative report on “Moped Gangs”, where one got an insight into the mindset of these “sub humans” ... please don't call them animals!
Basically their new scam is throwing acid on the victim, as it makes it easier for them “to get my food”!
( translated food = drugs or money)

- so carrying some water now seemed far more appropriate

And With acid attacks up 400% in a year!
And that moronic police spokesman saying the recent conviction of 10.5 years for 6 acid attacks was a good sentence!
In my book thats 18 months, They will probably out in 12 months per attack!

Seeing footage of them going about their “business” with Machetes and Samurai swords! Was seriously scary.

Actually I was so incensed, I phone Amber Rudds constituency and suggested they make the sentence 20 years for under 18 and name them, and 25 years for over 18s. And put them on a public undesireable register like Pedos!

They did get my point that if this continues at 400% increase for 4 years, one will have an epidemic!

I also said it didn't escape my attention, that none of the scumbags looked indigenous English! Or spoke the Queens English ... more a sort of Harlem Gangland Ghetto Slang.
Hell the program even had to have subtitles in English!

I also suggested perhaps one should assert that the right to immigrate should be based on 3 things.
- a desire and willingness to integrate, et al speak English! Being a mandatory.
- an agreement not to engage in serious criminal activity
- a willingness to accept and adhere to our British way of life - and in my book just because you cant get a job (I wonder why :-0 ); it doesnt give you the god given right to go around slashing innocent people with swords and chucking acid on them (just to make it easier to carry out the theft).

And if you breach that we will deport you!

The constituency operator did at least sympathise with my point of view to some extent.
But of course one gets the the “cost of imprisonment issue”

Pretty simple to solve IMO. Slam them in work camps.
No TV, No Phones, No Visitors, absolute basic survival food they can buy with tokens they earn, working in onsite NHS Laundrys or on chain gangs repairing our roads. :):):) Work is 6 days a week 8-6pm
Confiscate all their property to pay for incaseration
.... hmmm I would run that outfit in a heartbeat
.... that could be a serious little “earner”
I bet the reoffender rate would be < 1%
And the word would spread!

If you think I am over the top, you absolutely need to see that program.
Its nothing short of terrifying, if it takes hold and spreads to the shires we will be clammering for a second ammendment!

Well, follow that!
Erm in slightly less dramatic fashion replaced a number of microfibre towels and cloths which our house cleaner had ‘borrowed’ and never seen again....

Just got my amplifier carriage inward refunded , because UPS failed to turn up yesterday.

A nice gesture, to make up for having to be in all day.

Lets hope they arrive today.

No Comand is a pain. ;)

Is your Amp playing up too Craig?

Or were you just monitoring if they repair them well
.
Just the repair. I have to get the navi head unit fixed, BBA were my original go to people but they have had some bad press lately so I’ve held off. I’ve also found Cluster Repairs UK but not had the navi out yet (in the 215 it’s entire centre console out job!)so I’m holding off.

OK ,
For a moment I thought, Oh No not another one.
I was pretty shocked Houseboss’s went. As Micheals is possibly the most immaculate , garaged, low mileage CL around.

I am only having the Amp done .. nothing else.

I certainly dont envy you getting the centre console out. Hopefully the seats can stay in.
Those are pig heavy !

The whole centre console unbolts and pivots up, then the nav (2.5 DIN remember) unbolts from the back. So heavy, awkward but do-able without removing the seats.

At the same time my plan is to mod the tape deck input to AUX in so I can stream music. Not bad for an 18yo car!

Had some impure thoughts about it ...

aforementioned impure thoughts (well, one of them):

Yes, I know another bl00dy LED is out, went dead as soon as we put the bumper back on, after I replaced the first one that died on me!
It was a well thought through, nicely executed, reliable and completely unserviceable design!
I'm changing these DRLs - already bought a set of new fog surrounds :)
