Today I drove the 48 miles trip to Stourhead to enjoy the house and gardens. I had the roof up on the way there as there was cloud cover. Four hours later with beaming sunshine and after a large ice-cream, I started the journey home with the roof down.

From my first leg of my journey to Bonnie Scotland, pit stop in Moulton, Richmond Yorkshire, not bad from a 4.7l V8.

Dash lit up with a coffee cup and some warning about staying alert, I opened glove boxes but couldn't find any coffee (car must be faulty), so pit stop taken.

Second stop was at Gretna Green (SWMBO turned down divorce offer), consumption hit 33.2 mpg, then at final destination dropped to 31.6 mpg, caused by 20 min traffic jam near Carlisle and 2x very long newly gritted roads near Aberfeldy.

TPMS told me front nearside low, so top up in the rain, all good now, spotted an owl and a Stag on approach to Aberfeldy, apparently the cottage here has otters in the river alongside! Already seen 2x Salmon jumping wish I brought a rod...

Enjoy! Love Perthshire - if I ever moved back North that’s where I’d head, somewhere in the country like Stanley or Sherrifmuir....
Anyway watch out for the tree sap

Apologies gave you something to worry about now!
Wouldn’t be a proper MB trip without though!
That mpg is remarkable by the way- much more efficient than the old 5.5V8 na lump I had which barely got into the 20s

To be honest it is the TPMS warning bothering me the most, I have had the warning before on that wheel when I first bought the car in November, it had a new tyre fitted then, but been ok till now. Being OCD will visit the tyre shop when I get back...

I had a bit of a spat with an F-type V8 driver who came in from a slip way on the Motorway, roof down took one look at me on the outside lane chased through traffic undertaking everyone then cut me up. It was a white one so he looked a bit poncy, gave him a little pay back then left him alone as SWMBO was destroying my hearing.

Think it may have been that triggering the coffee cup!

Last time I was with swmbo on a Little trip out to the lakes we had a play with ( not in order) Porker 911, Chevy Camaro ( bumble bee), Mustang and an F Type. Only the F type was a test .... this on one stretch of the M6! My ears were similarly raw:(

Not today but yesterday on the way back from the office, had the pre brake/accident pre safe activate on me. coming up behind a lorry and saw a gap o get into the outside lane but I'd have to speed up which I did, car must have thought I'd not seen the lorry so activated the pre safe and really pulled me into the seat, did release again as soon as it realised I wasn't in any danger.

Went on a cruise today windows/roof shut, stereo off for the first time. Could not believe how quiet it was for a deisel. I think all I could hear was tyre noise.
Not really a "What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?" Post.

Cleaned it off late this morning, ready for my annual trip to Bury St Edmunds (Cars on the Green) tomorrow. Typically the heavens then opened with torrential rain which covered every panel even though it's under a car port.

I've now dried it off but that's as far as I'm going with it until I arrive tomorrow. I'm now chilling out watching the cricket, ready for a four hour drive starting at around 05.00. :(

Do you take any cleaning products once you arrive for these meets just in case you pick up dirt on the way?
