What is this part?

Hi,

This week I had an nice nail in my front (driver side) tire. I have my tires only since June 2006 so I was about it. Any way I changed it with the spare tire and found this part in the trunk.

Does any body here know where this is from?

not sure it has tongues so it could be a fuse extractor, but its made of metal so i am not too certain,

hope you can get the tyre patched.

Possibily a quick release key for either radio unit or climate control unit.

@brian, hmmm not sure since the radio is secured with torx 20 screws.

Looks a bit like a thing for repairing pitch marks on a green.

pretty sure it's for pulling out a manual retractable aerial? Hence the hole to put it on the keyring with the car keys.

Still taking the tablets Malcolm, thanks! Must confess enjoying the wee change with the XJ but jeez one needs deep pockets in the forecourt!
Possibility the old MB may be staying in the family with No 3 sibling - depends whether the 'readies' arrive soon!
