Hi, does anyone know of a good place to get my wheels looked at in Gloucestershire, they have corrosion around the centre caps. They are diamond cut, and I know some places will offer a single coat at a cheaper price rather than to maintain the diamond cut two colour paint job.

What is like compared to paint. Also, it seems that I can have any colour. How does black sit against a black car?

Personally black wheels on a black car is too much and can look a bit drug dealer.

Ok fair point. I had seen a white W204 online with black and that looked ok. Orange it is then.

I have a [small] black car, so colour dynamic is different to a large car, but I have my wheels (18" AMG III) done in high gloss anthracite, powder coated, and 18 months on, they still look OK, I think:

Powder coating is much harder wearing than paint, look at “black chrome” as a finish for a black car.

This is a chap I spoke to in the week. Sounded spot on. So the consensus is Anthracite either painted or powder coated. I've really no idea when it comes to taste.

My calipers look a bit weathered so I wouldn't show those off!!

Just out of interest, do you just remove wheel and mask up caliper?

It's a drive up the M5 but the prices might make it worth while, I take mine from Derbyshire and to avoid a return journey i'm considering the same day option next time.
Trouble is I don't get excited by shopping and that is all I would have to do with the day, at the Bullring, while waiting.
