If you care what it looks like, why drop from 265 to 245?

Seriously never heard of such a waste of time and money!
Can't speak for the OP, but when I did it it was because it was for my winter wheels and for some reason, the options for 265 width rears with the appropriate load rating for the CL were incredibly limited and significantly more expensive than the 245/40/18 tyres. Narrower tyres also tend to be better in the snow and my insurance company just shrugged when I told them.

Can understand that.
I am lucky Total Tyres in Binfield have stunning tyre prices. Hardly any difference on 18" and 19" tyres .
Only when you get to 20" upward, like my sis's 2017 AMG S Class do prices go stupid.
We hardly ever get snow around here lol! "Dawn Sawf" :)
