So not something that you would expect to buy within the dealer network, but something, say, 5 years - classic?
Just interested! I'm sure you look in multiple places so feel free to state all you're hunting grounds!

I recently seem to start with eBay. In fact anything I need I start with eBay. I have to constantly check myself that there are other online options and of course good old visiting shops/garages :D
My previous car an Alfa 159 was an eBay auction I won without seeing it. Same with my CLK and an Audi A4 I had a few years ago.

I have bought several vehicles at auction over the years, the old style auction where you attend in person!
Usually saves a few quid and p's off the traders!

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
At a near close to some 500 cars in all, but I have the SL since 2005 and nearly for the 216 since 2010

What I would like a very old Mercedes

that could be because many people will look in more than one place and have, therefore, voted for more than one answer. i believe the percentages shown are that of the people who have voted that would use a particular source, so out of those who have voted so far, currently 87.1% of them would use Autotrader to look, 35.5% would look at ebay. that said, of the ones that use ebay, they might ALL also use autotrader!
