Words of wisdom - I have already been thinking about that and would have thought by now, that there would be some kind of protective device/part that would hold back rust on wheel arches both front and rear.

Any further thoughts anyone?

Paul

There is indeed - its called galvanizing. Apparently a mystery to MB, until recently.

Yes I know but what about something for pre-galvanized wheel arches? - I would have thought there would be an after-market product/accessory of some kind?

Hmmm

Maybe I am not making myself clear - my wheel arches have all been recently seen to by MB and I want them to stay as they are, without getting rusty again.

Is there some kind of product that I can fit to protect them?

No Paul.

Though Malcolm (Television ) put a rubber edge strip around the inside of the arch (from a Mini I believe) to prevent stones etc breaking the paint and allowing rust to begin. The only other thing would be to coat the under edges of the arches with a thick underseal to prevent chips.

yes - Undersealing the edges seems a good idea.

Any other ideas?

Paul
