hey all, forgive my ignorance, I'm new to Mercedes, especially old ones like my new baby.
Long story cut short, we bought it knowing the engine was probably gone but at 350 quid it was impossible to say no but now our ignorance shows itself....
What to replace it with? We'd like a bit more power than stock, not hugely concerned about the cost though we dont have bottomless pockets we do have a bit to throw at it.
Being an older van I guess it should be as simple as possible, i.e no massive new loom to integrate or annoying ECUs looking for sensors that are not present and so on but we have no idea where to start.
Would love suggestions, anyone gone this route before? Anyone fitted anything wildly different?
All advice and knowlege gratefully received.
Cheers
Matt
