Is snow the white stuff? We've forgotten what even rain looks like!! Cold day today - only 28.

It took me 5.5 hrs to drive from North Wales to South Wales today (normally 3.5hrs).
I ensured that I cleared off the regulation amount of snow before I set off.

Who says MB cars don't work well in snow?

It didn't start snowing in South Wales until 10am and quite a few have had to abandon their cars on the A48 (end of M4) due to the conditions. I managed to avoid all the jams. :) Although I'm tired now from the concentration.

Are you sure that was the regulation 20" of snow removed from your windscreen:confused:

Looks to me like a "male" version of measurement:rolleyes:

Some years ago I used to pay 50p for 4hrs driving on a skid pan. It was fun, and something to do on a Sat or Sun am or pm. I was very surprised that when I told my peers of this cheap weekend entertainment, they weren't interested. Since the closure of the skid pan, I have never had any qualms about driving in any weather and feel quite competent to negotiate anything the weather throws up. Unfortunately, I have to agree with Angus that the general driving style in London are is absolutely pathetic when we get any kind of adverse weather.
BTW I live NW London.

Hello and welcome, I was lucky and had it all free in Sweden on a skid pan after that you could practice in the shopcenters car parks, makes a big difference.

Yes I usually go for a wee spin around when I see a nice empty snow covered carpark!

Great fun and educational too!
