Dear All,
I am close to the end of my wits on this one.
I speak of the LED lights/running lights call them what you will, the lights closest to the floor on the front of an SLK 200 R172 2011. Please tell me how to switch them on?
It's a seemingly simple question. I have gone to the dashboard " System " menu , selected " Lights" selected " running lights" on/off read that I have to switch the engine off prior to changing the setting, selected On, and the lights stay OFF. So thinking that the engine may have to be switched on and off to reset the computer, I switch the engine off, AND SUCCESS the lights are ON, so I switch the engine on, and the Damn lights go off. What is the point of having lights that only stay on when the ignition is on and the engine OFF?
I can feel my blood pressure rising as I write this missive.
Shall I go on to explain my numerous menu changes in each position of the main lighting switch? No, I'd rather not, as I feel the onset on a coronary.
Please do not tell me that these lights are similar to the Keyless Go function which has to be selected as an option when the car is purchased?
On the other hand, am I correct in assuming that these two LED strips can be illuminated during normal driving? If not, then what is the point of them being there, apart from annoying the Hell out of me.
Any help will as ever be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading this moan.
Regards to all
